When you buy a bale, a bundle or a full wardrobe, you pick the brands and the condition — rarely the sizes. Yet sizes decide part of the outcome. We measured 224,881 real July sales in letter sizes: here is what sells, and at what price.

Four lessons for your buying
- M is 1 sale in 4. M and L together weigh 43% of sales, at the best median price (€15). That is the core: in a wardrobe buyout, count those pieces at full value.
- XS stacks the handicaps. Only 4.9% of sales, and a median price of €8 — half an M or an L. A wardrobe full of XS is objectively worth less: negotiate accordingly, or walk away.
- XL is the good surprise. Same median price as M and L (€15), with supply often scarcer in thrift. At equal brand, an XL piece has no reason to be discounted — yet many sellers do exactly that.
- XXL holds its price. €12.95 median, above S. Plus sizes (XL + XXL) make up 14% of sales: a whole segment, not a clearance bin.
The method
Sales detected on the French catalogue in July 2026, size as displayed on the listing, final selling price, medians per size. One summer month: exact shares move with the seasons; the price gaps between sizes are much more stable.
The habit to build
These are the market's figures. Your shop has its own: if you sell oversize, men's vintage or kidswear, your size pyramid looks nothing like this one.
