What to sell on Vinted in September? The autumn-shift numbers

Every year it's the same: sellers who list their jumpers in October arrive after the battle. We classified over 3 million real sales observed on the French market over the last four weeks, comparing the first half of August with the second. Verdict: the autumn shift has already started — and September is the month it accelerates.

What's rising (list it now)

• Boots and ankle boots: +41% share of sales in two weeks — the biggest rise in the whole wardrobe. Median price: ~€11.
• Coats, parkas and puffers: +21%. Median €10, but it's the category where good pieces (wool, outdoor brands) most often reach €25-40.
• Jumpers, sweatshirts and cardigans: +12% — now the most-sold type on Vinted (4.6% of all sales). Big volume, small price (median €5): perfect for bundles.
• Jackets and blazers (+7%), jeans (+6%), trainers (+9%, median €15): the safe bets of the season, with the best unit prices.

What's falling (store it, don't slash prices)

Swimwear −14%, shorts −14%, light dresses −8%. No point crushing prices to force a sale: a summer item sold off in September goes for a third of what it will be worth in May. Store it and relist in spring.

The month's calendar

• Early September: light jumpers, sweatshirts, mid-season jackets, jeans — the first things buyers look for when evenings cool down.
• Mid-September: boots, ankle boots, light coats. Demand takes off before the first real cold, not after.
• Late September: winter coats, puffers, wool. Listing now means being online when the first cold snap triggers impulse buys.
